EVIDENCE BEFORE HEADLINES
Our editorial policy.
Research should make security decisions clearer.
For the practical evidence record and control-test procedure, read the research methodology.
Sources and attribution
We prioritize first-party incident updates, technical investigations and official advisories. An organization's account is attributed to that organization; it is not presented as our independent forensic finding. Disputed claims remain attributed. We do not infer attacker identity or loss totals beyond the evidence cited.
Dates and coverage
Incident dates describe the event. Publication and update dates describe our analysis. The library is curated and does not claim to cover every hack or provide live threat intelligence. An old incident can still teach a useful control.
Analysis and review
Recommendations are our interpretation of the published evidence. AI assistance may support drafting and development; it is not a primary source. New factual reporting must be checked against the cited sources before publication. We do not automatically publish scraped feeds or AI-generated incident claims.
Corrections and disclosure
Send corrections with the article URL and a primary source through the contact page. Material corrections should include a dated note. Client-sensitive findings, private evidence and exploit details that would expose an unremediated client system do not belong in public articles.
Commercial independence
Research and services appear on the same site. An article is not evidence of a client relationship, an endorsement, or participation in the investigation. Paid placements and sponsorships must be labeled when published.
